Overview of VINTAGE - USA Gretsch G-6102 "Streamliner" w/ Gretsch Bigsby & Hard Shell Case - 1972 - USED
Really nice player!! 1972 USA made Baldwin-era Gretsch G-6102 Streamliner that is in excellent overall condition for it's vintage. Very little playwear and 100% crack and past repair free. Original "G" tailpiece has been removed and replaced with a proper USA made Gretsch / Bigsby tremolo. Original Gretsch Super-tron, Double coil Blade humbucking pickups. Rosewood fretboard with zero fret and Neo Classic "Thumbprint" pearl inlays along the entire lenght of the board. The guitar does indeed show some signs of its age such as a few marks located on the back of the neck located around the 10th fret on the treble side of the neck. And there is another that is located dead center of the back of the neck at the 7th fret. Also has the standard ding or 2 on the top of the headstock. Much as they all do when you see them of this vintage. Last one being a mark located on the lower / side of the body just below the guard. As for binding breaks and belt rash kind of stuff there is nothing to be seen. Super clean and very well cared for. The original frets are all still there and have quite a lot of meat left on them. So no need for any kind of fret dress in the near future. Its good to go on all levels. Killer vintage USA gretsch looking to find a new home. Fully set up in house and sold with an aftermarket hard shell case.
- USA Made in November of 1972.
- Serial Number - 112303 ( Located on the back of the headstock.)
