Maricela Juarez was a top-tier winder for Seymour Duncan in the 80's and later became the manager of the Duncan custom shop. The last \"J\" on the \"JBJ\" sticker refers to a specific pickup being wound by Maricela Juarez. 4-conductor with lots of lead wire remaining and measuring a super hot 16.18k output when metered. These early Duncan JBJ pickups are renowned for having a slightly different, often \"thicker\" sound due to specific level of skilled winding. Highly sought after and are frequently used in a lot of recorded 80s hard rock \u0026amp; heavy metal. More modern JB's are known for a higher output and treble response, But these JBJ model duncans are often discribed as having a thicker- fatter tone, with strong mids and slightly more pronounced bass.
