As implied by the name, the Scratch is intended especially for the disciplines of scratch and back-cueing. It is made of a fluorescent neon-red material with the intention it becoming highly apparent in spotlight and luminous in ultraviolet light. For DJs that requireincreased tracking ability, the Scratch is up to the task. Featuring a reinforced rubber suspension, DJs need not worry about compromising sound quality and stylus life when working with higher tracking forces. With solid bass reproduction and extended highs, the Scratch is great for any style, providing energetic, in-your-face sound.
Ortofon-branded products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of original retail purchase when used in accordance with Ortofon’s user manuals. If a defect arises during the warranty period, Ortofon, at its option, will (1) repair the product at no charge or (2) exchange the product with one of equivalent functionality or one that is at least functionally equivalent to the product it replaces. This warranty excludes damage resulting from abuse, accident, modifications, unauthorized repairs, improper installation, or other causes that are not defects in materials and workmanship, as well as normal depletion of consumable parts such as styli unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship.
