Meet The Music City Canada Team

Music City Canada is staffed by industry professionals and we're all here to help you!

Ryan

Ryan started working in the family business in 1993 after his father helped him get his start in the industry as a DJ & lighting designer.

Matt

Matt is our in-house recording specialist. He attended Fanshawe College, graduating from the Music Industry Arts (MIA) program. Matt is also quite knowledgable with live sound and lighting equipment among other things.

Darcy

For more than 30 years on guitar, bass, mandolin and percussion Darcy has performed with the likes of Petty Theft, The Kickers, Geoff Masse Band, Whiskey Sinners, Every Couple Uh Weeks, and recently an acoustic duo named RC/DC.

Stan

His playing style has quite a range and he has recorded and played with all styles of bands - country, blues, metal, and both "Classic" and "Jurassic" rock. (see what we did there?) He has recording and played with: Helix, Bobnoxious, Chris Hart , The Trailer Park Boys, Marshall Dane, Bill Durst, The Buffalo Brothers, any many , many others, as well as TV show scores, and radio and television commercials.

Bungie

Since 1996 Bungie has been touring the world as a guitar/backline tech (roadie) for some of the finest musicians our country has to offer. The late Jeff Healey, Tom Cochrane, Ian Thornley and most recent Kevin Hearn of BNL to name a few. From country to jazz, rock to metal, guitar players have trusted their instruments and rigs to me to make the best performance possible.

Boris

Boris has been a touring musician his whole life. Playing in the 90's rock band Blu Bones, Boris was able to travel the world playing music. He has also spent decades on the road as a guitar tech for the likes of Stephen Page, Les Stroud, Kittie & Ian Thornley.

Geoff

With previous experience from his long career at Fanshawe College, Geoff is an expert with all things Pro AV and is our top guy for business and venue sales and installation inquiries. Geoff is also our resident in-house keyboard expert.

Derek

Derek has been in the industry as a live touring drummer since the mid 80’s with stops worldwide. He has worked for top flight Tribute acts worldwide is a busy on-call session drummer and has worked with Royal Caribbean on cruise lines. In 2013-2014  Derek landed a spot in New York City as a performer/drummer for the Blue Man Group.

Jovan

As a second-generation luthier, since 1992, Jovan has been making, repairing, restoring, and maintaining thousands of instruments. His expertise involves all stringed instruments such as guitars, bowed strings, folk, and historical instruments.

Ned

The entirety of Ned's participation in the music retail industry is a closely guarded state secret.  Regrettably, Ned does not know this and continues to divulge critical information of the most diabolically helpful nature.  This reckless and appalling villain will answer inquiries from anyone daring enough to contact him.  Evidence of this continued and frightful practice is clearly visible from the International Space Station.  It's really cool, you should check it out sometime.

Sean

Sean, our in-house, Jack of all trades and master of some! Guitar collector, enthusiast, drummer, singer, bass player, and is able to play only one single chord on the keyboard, however, it is a secret as to which one...

A self-taught musician who has learned to play by ear without instruction, science, theory, or "music notes and stuff!" (to use his own words.)

His 15 minutes of "fame", was working for Sam The Record Man for 15+ years. Ask Sean he will tell you, "every guitar needs a strap, like a suit needs a tie!" And....if you ask Mike, he will tell you that Sean is a Rockstar!
