The Blackmagic PYXIS 12K is a new digital film camera featuring a revolutionary 12K RGBW sensor within a compact, yet robust, CNC machined aerospace aluminum body. Its large full-frame sensor supports resolutions up to 12288 x 8040, enabling true 6:5 anamorphic shooting for highly detailed widescreen cinematic images. The camera's multi-scale sensor allows users to capture footage in 12K, 8K, or 4K at the full sensor size, recording in Blackmagic RAW to maintain maximum control over detail, exposure, and color in post-production.
The Blackmagic PYXIS 12K offers a range of features designed for professional filmmaking. It can be purcahsed as L-Mount, PL, or locking EF (this model) lens mounts, and can record full resolution video at up to 40 fps, or 112 fps at 8K. The camera is equipped with a built-in 4" HDR 1500 nit LCD screen and supports dual CFexpress card recording. For enhanced connectivity, it offers 10G Ethernet or mobile data for remote streaming, along with optional accessories like the Blackmagic URSA Cine EVF and PYXIS Monitor.
