Award-winning country music superstar Brad Paisley joined forces with Fender to put a twist on a legendary guitar. The Brad Paisley Road Worn® Esquire® is bold, resonant and adds something extra to the traditional single-pickup workhorse from the early-1950s.

The Brad Paisley Esquire features a paulownia and spruce body finished in a stunning black sparkle Road Worn lacquer, a custom Enhanced "V"-shaped maple neck with a 9.5" radius fingerboard and custom pickups - including a Brad Paisley signature Seymour Duncan Secret Agent neck pickup hidden under the black and silver paisley pickguard.

An original take on a legendary guitar

The Brad Paisley Road Worn Esquire is as unique as its namesake. You'll immediately notice its loud and clear acoustic voice emanating from the body's spruce/Paulownia/spruce tonewood sandwich. You'll also find that this pairing helps keep the guitar lightweight and resonant. The guitar's maple custom Enhanced V-shaped neck boasts a modern 9.5-inch fingerboard radius to balance comfortable playing with being easy to bend on. And the guitar's triple-brass-saddle bridge further enhances this Esquire's country-style personality.

a one-pickup guitar isn’t a one-pickup guitar…

Historically, the Fender Esquire is a one-pickup guitar, and the Brad Paisley Road Worn Esquire certainly looks the part. In the bridge, you’ll find a custom-wound Brad Paisley Spec Vintage-style Tele single-coil, which dishes out the vintage-tinged twang and snarl that are Brad’s trademark. So far, this seems pretty standard for an Esquire. But that’s when things get interesting. Stealthily lurking under this solidbody electric guitar’s pickguard is a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Brad Paisley Secret Agent neck single-coil pickup. The Secret Agent boasts a medium-output ceramic bar magnet, yielding a full, warm-sounding tone that’s almost jazz-like. At Sweetwater, we were shocked at how amazing this pickup sounds. Brad clearly agrees. In fact, the referred to the Secret Agent as his “favorite Tele neck pickup.” Plus, you get the bonus of retaining the Esquire’s classic one-pickup look!

The Relic treatment delivers real-deal experience

Fender's Relic treatment creates instruments that look and feel like well-broken-in guitars. Without knowing better, you'd be hard-pressed to notice that this guitar comes right off the line like this. The Brad Paisley Road Worn Esquire wears an aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Nitro finishes — standard back in the day — are significantly thinner than today's polyurethane finishes, allowing the guitar to “breathe.” With nitro's ability to enhance the instrument's tonal qualities, the Brad Paisley Road Worn Esquire has the look, sound, and feel of an aged classic.
