Overview of IK Multimedia iRing - Motion Controller for iOS (Green)
The green version of the IK Multimedia iRing Motion Controller Effect System for iOS, Mac, and Windows is designed for hands free control of up to six effect parameters within an iOS music making or performance application. The system utilizes two sensor rings held between the fingers on either hand, the front facing camera of a compatible iOS device, and a volumetric positioning algorithm to map MIDI messages on the x, y, and z axis. The rings are reversible and can be used in either linear or triangular mode. The user wears the rings and waves them in the air above the camera to control effects such as filter, delay, reverb, compression, wah, stutter, crush, brake, spin, and more. The system is Inter-App Audio compatible and works with Audiobus. The iRing FX/Control App is available for free download from the App store. You can also download the free iRing Music Maker app that can be used to create real-time grooves and scores. The system is also compatible with IK multimedia software such as AmpliTube, SampleTank, and Groovemaker 2.
