Somewhere around the mid-1960s drum manufacturers changed up the internal sizing of their shells, and most modern drum heads don't fit all very well on these vintage instruments. Remo Classic Fit Drum Heads solve that problem, so if you've got truly vintage drums they're a lifesaver!
The flesh hoop on these heads are slightly narrower than normal, giving the head a larger inside diameter without increasing the outer diameter. They're good for drums with thick covers or are slightly out of round.
This Ambassador Hazy Snare Side head is only 3 mils thick, easily responding to the sounds of the top head to activate the snares at any dynamic level.
