From Jean Larrivee's early Toronto, Ontario made era of handmade acoustics!! Used and very played in 1976 "Larrivee L-11" all solid wood acoustic that has seen some serious use over its 50 year lifetime. Player grade and showing some well earned battlescars that are scattered over the entire instrument, as well as a few past structural repairs. The first of those repairs being a very large past crack repair located on the "bass side" of the rosewood soundbox extending from the top-side shoulder of the soundbox, all the way down to the arm-rest area. Measuring approximately 17" in total length. Professionally repaired quite some time ago at "Folkway Music" located in Waterloo, Ontario. So one can be rest assured that the repair is a PRO job, and is solid as a rock! A second repair has also been done by the 12th Fret in Toronto. Located on the treble side of the spruce top, just below the bridge area., and measuring 6" long in total length. Properly and professionally completed. 100% structurally sound and solid! Please refur to the posted pic's in this add to view these repairs. However keep in mind that each of these crack repairs are rather hard to get a clear picture of, but they are indeed there., and are each clearly visible in person.
This vintage Larivee workhorse also sports a Fishman "Split Saddle" active pickup system with dual output options VIA the (2) 1/4 inch barrel jacks that have been vertically installed in the strap-pin area of the guitar. The top output is a stereo output jack and will allow the user to combine the (2) split saddles to be sent to one MONO output VIA a 1/4" TRS Cable. The Second (lower) output jack is a MONO output jack that is exclusive to the treble side of the bridge and allows to user to split the saddles and send them to (2) different ampliified output sources VIA (2) x mono 1/4 to 1/4 cables. (No guitar mounted preamp controls on the side of the body or in the soundhole)
All and all she might look a bit rough around the edges,..but the darn thing sounds absolutely fantastic. Rich-warm lows and even but bright treble response. Fully set up and inculdes its original archtop hard shell case.
