Aquarian's Super-2 is a two-ply drumhead made from one ply of 7mil film and one ply of 5mil film. This combo ends up being slightly thinner than a Remo Emperor or Evans G2 and offers greater responsiveness and increased sustain without sacrificing durability.
When a typical 2-ply drumhead feels too thick and a single-ply head feels too thin, the Super-2 would be an ideal choice. It provides a nice middle ground between the two. If you need the durability, projection, and focus of a 2-ply drumhead but also want a bit more sustain and responsiveness, Aquarian's Super-2 With Power Dot is a drumhead you should check out.
Aquarian's patented SAFE-T-LOC hoop helps the tuning stay consistent and prevents pullouts, and the Sound Curve collar makes tuning quick and easy. The Super-2 drumhead is also made using a vacuum process that eliminates air bubbles and wrinkles between the two plies of film.
