Designed, assembled, and tested by Audix, the ADX20i is a miniaturized condenser microphone ideal for professional stage and studio applications, particularly for miking saxophone and other brass instruments. Renowned for its clarity, excellent transient response, resistance to feedback, high SPL handling, and ease of use, the ADX20i features a uniformly controlled cardioid polar pattern. This design provides excellent isolation and feedback control on stage, ensuring natural sound reproduction even at very close distances.
Lightweight, compact, and simple to use, the ADX20i offers a smooth and accurate response across a wide frequency range of 40 Hz to 20 kHz. It's housed in an aluminum ring, isolated by a rubber shock mount system, and includes a spring tension gooseneck clip (MC20i) for easy mounting to instrument bells. While primarily designed for Audix wireless systems, a wired version, the ADX20iP, is available for standard microphone cables and operates on 5-52 Volts phantom power. Additional optional accessories are also available for use on a microphone stand, expanding its versatility for other applications.
