Audix's AP42 Performance Series dual-channel wireless system includes the R42 2-channel diversity receiver and two H60/OM5 handheld transmitters. The R42 receiver operates on a frequency range of 554 to 586 MHz and offers clear channel searches. The unit features an internal antenna combiner for dual antenna operation. It comes in a 19" rack-mount chassis and includes BNC cables for the front-mount antennas. Thanks to the one-touch synchronization function, this receiver easily connects to H60 handheld transmitters via an infrared beam.

Each handheld transmitter comes with the OM5 dynamic microphone capsule. These transmitters feature a slim body design and durable metal housing and are compact, well-balanced, and comfortable to hold. They come with a soft mute switch that doubles as an ON/OFF switch when needed. The transmitter units also feature a high-contrast LCD display with a group, channel, and battery indicator.

Each OM5 microphone has a uniformly controlled hypercardioid polar pattern that isolates the voice from the rest of the instruments on stage or in a studio. They have clarity, resistance to feedback, and the ability to handle SPLs of over 144 dB without distortion.
