Audix M55WD Hanging Ceiling Microphone

The M55WD Hanging Ceiling Microphone from Audix is designed for the Audix Dante AES67 integrated microphone system (sold separately). It delivers audio and all microphone functions—including on-off contact closure and LED status indicators—through a single Cat 5 to Cat 7 cable with RJ45 connections at both interface and microphone for video teleconferencing, distance learning, boardrooms, surveillance, hospital and medical procedures, and ambient room miking applications.

Installing the M55WD requires just one 5/8" hole in the ceiling, with no additional tools needed. The mounting hardware easily adjusts the hanging height up to four feet from the ceiling surface without removing ceiling tiles and allows for fingertip height adjustment and rotation control. The M55WD's simple configuration eliminates wiring errors, accelerates installation, and allows all microphone gain structures to be optimized. This provides quality audio at the DSP, and the result is a true plug-and-play installation.
