About the Performance Series™
The Performance Series is handcrafted in Oxnard, California from 100% North American Hard Rock Maple. These drums utilize DW’s groundbreaking shell construction and drum hardware to deliver you a complete instrument.North American Maple Shells
All Performance Series™ shells are built with DW’s patented HVX™ technique, which features 100% Maple plies with grains oriented in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal patterns for low, punchy fundamentals.
Bearing Edge
HVX™ shells are precision-cut with 45-degree (toms) and 60-degree (bass and snare) edges. These edges provide tonality and sustain from your toms, and depth and punch from your bass and snare.
Performance Series™ lugs offer a quarter-sized version of the iconic turret design. All Performance Series™ hardware is available exclusively in Chrome.
Finishes From FinishPly™ to hand-sprayed lacquer or satin oil, all DW kits can be customized with finishes to make it yours.
