Turning point hardware features very different design tripod leg base, rather than standard double bracing made heavy steel; we made the bracing from L-rod stock aluminum. Using lighter weight aluminum material on the tri-pod leg base takes some of the weight out of the stand, giving you and your back a break when carrying, but when the stand is placed in position it holds rock solid. Gibraltar's new swing nut auto cymbal tilter is truly a player's innovation and a drum tech's dream. This auto cymbal tilter allows you to mount a cymbal onto the stand without any wing nuts.
