Overview of Gibson LP Standard 50s Electric Guitar
Gibson is excited to introduce the Custom Colour Series. Based on popular colours of the 1960s as well some hits from their recent past, the Custom Colour Series allows you to choose the colour you want to enhance your performance. Starting with the Les Paul Standard 50s and Les Paul Standard 60s, these new colours will put a new twist on these legendary guitars.
The new Les Paul™ Standard returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved – shaping sound across generations and genres of music. It pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of innovation and brings authenticity back to life. The Les Paul Standard '50s has a solid mahogany body with a maple top and a rounded 50s-style mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays. It's equipped with an ABR-1, the classic-style Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and aged gold Top Hat knobs. The calibrated Burstbucker™ 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickups are loaded with Alnico 2 magnets and wired with audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop® capacitors.
