Designed for progressive rock guitarist Jake Bowen of Periphery, the Signature Series JBM27 model from Ibanez features a mahogany body with a maple top, and a 3-piece Wizard II-7 bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets, and a special JBM inlay marking the 12th fret.
The solid double-cutaway body delivers maximum resonance and sustain, while the Wizard II-7 neck offers a smooth, fast, and comfortable feel with an articulate response. Other features include scooped and contoured cutaways which enable full access to the highest frets, an Edge-Zero II-7 locking tremolo bridge, and a reverse headstock equipped with a set of gold Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads for accurate tuning.
Voiced specifically for Bowen's Ibanez Signature models, the DiMarzio Titan neck and bridge humbucking pickups offer a wide variety of tones with depth, warmth, and rich dynamics, ranging from tight and aggressive for palm-muted chords, to clear and ambient for open chords or picked phrases, or velvety and fluid for soaring lead tones. The pickups work equally well when playing in standard and dropped tunings, maintaining definition in the lower ranges. In addition to the standard full-humbucking tones, the 5-way pickup selector is wired to include a parallel-coil configuration on the neck pickup, and a combination of split coils for both the neck and bridge pickups.
