Overview of Kramer - " Early 90's , MIJ" Pacer Custom 1 (HSS) Candy Apple Red w/ Hard Shell Case - (1990-91 )- USED
Check out this bad boy! This is a very early 1990s Kramer "Pacer Custom 1" (PC1) vintage shredder. An absolutely excellent example of Kramer's Made in Japan, ESP Era guitars. It is completely factory stock with zero modifications and is in fantastic condition for its 24-year vintage.
This guitar features the original USA Black Floyd Rose tremolo system, complete with a Floyd "Trem-Tool" attached to the rear side of the headstock. It has 22 medium-jumbo frets on a 3-piece laminated maple "shallow C" shaped neck and a rosewood fretboard. The angled headstock showcases a diminishing "Kramer" gold logo and retains its original 6x Schaller Die-Cast Sealed Gear black tuners.
A Floyd Rose "R2" locking nut (12 fretboard radius) and a Kramer "Neptune NJ USA" black neck plate are present, but the guitar is indeed made in Japan by ESP. (In the late 80s and early 90s, Kramer was very careful not to put "Made in USA" tags on their guitars.) It features the original Duncan JBJ pickup in the bridge and two Duncan Alnico 5 pickups in the middle and neck positions.
Fully cleaned up, set up to E standard, and sold with a non-Kramer stamped aftermarket but period-correct hard shell case. The Candy Apple Red body shows some playwear, including a very small chip located on the back lower bout of the body, where someone attempted a finish repair with an almost color match. There is also a fairly large 1-inch long scratch on the back behind the tremolo cover. The neck has two very tiny dings in the maple just below the lock nut mounting holes. Other than those few issues, she is as good as gold.
It’s pretty rare to find one of these that has not been modified to death or destroyed. The original tremolo bar may or may not appear in the posted pics, but it is indeed included with the guitar.
