Pre-owned 4 way Telecaster wiring harness from Obsidian Wire. Quick and easy install without touching a soldering iron. Obsidian Wire builds Pro-Wired Electronics for guitar and bass, with super sturdy and easy to use solder-less connectors. That means that you can install your new wiring harness, or do solder-less pickup changes, without having to set aside much more time than a string change.
The Obsidian Wire Custom 4-Way wiring harness for Telecaster adds a tasty fourth switch position to make your Tele scream.
NOTE;...Requires Three Wire – Neck Pickup Mod – To properly ground your neck pickup you will need to add an additional wire to it. This is an easy mod & includes the provided instructions to do the job,.. but this mod does require a solder joint.
Kick your Tele into the fourth position and your old workhorse becomes a beast. The neck and bridge pickups work in series to provide a more powerful humbucker like tone. You can use this position for stronger rhythm and screaming leads.
Your Telecaster will retain all of the traditional switch positions, and the familiar master tone and volume controls.
To make your tone crystal clear at lower volumes we also include an ObsidianWire Custom Spec Treble Bleed Mod. This prevents tone ‘muddiness’ at low volumes by allowing high frequencies to pass along a separate path to your amp, rather than being stopped short by the increasing resistance at the volume control.
