PRS John Mayer SE Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition Electric Guitar (Carpathian Grey)

The SE Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition retains the feel, response, and playability that define the Silver Sky model, while introducing a bold new visual character.

The Silver Sky has never been shy about color. For the Defender Colour Collection, Mayer and PRS looked beyond the guitar world to the contemporary Defender palette, drawing from decades of history and more than 900 colours to select four finishes that give the SE Silver Sky a fresh, modern character: Petra Copper, Sedona Red, Carpathian Grey, and Woolstone Green. Each is paired with a black pickguard - a first for the Silver Sky model - creating a striking new take on a guitar built to be played.

The four Defender contemporary colours are inspired by landscapes and destinations that embody the spirit of exploration. Like the US-made versions, this set of colourways will have neckplates with the Defender logo and the colour called out on them. These guitars will also have an exclusive PRS/Defender gig bag. Although the number of the SE instruments made will not be capped, they will only be available for order until midyear of 2027.

At its core, the SE Silver Sky Defender remains a player's guitar with the sound, feel, and response that musicians expect, backed by the build quality and playability to handle night after night on stage. - Petra Copper takes its name from the ancient Jordanian city carved into rose-coloured rock, translating natural stone hues into a refined metallic finish.
- Sedona Red draws inspiration from Arizona's dramatic sandstone formations, combining rich earthy reds with warm copper undertones.
- Carpathian Grey references the Carpathian Mountains, conveying ruggedness, scale and sophistication through a deep, sparkling grey.
- Woolstone Green connects modern Defender to both place and heritage, named after the Oxfordshire village while reinterpreting Defender's iconic green colour space through a contemporary metallic finish.
