A zinc two-piece bridge and vintage-style tuners anchor this guitar and stay true to the promise of the McCarty family.

After ten years, the PRS S2 Series is being updated with USA-made pickup and electronics for 2024 (and beyond). PRS Guitars is proud to bring this added value to what has become a fully integrated part of their manufacturing line and product offering. PRS Guitars has also updated their Vintage-Style tuners to include a new Wing button. While, aesthetically, these new buttons are designed to echo the 12th fret bird wingspan design, they were first and foremost designed for tonal reasons. Because these buttons are lighter weight than their metal predecessors, they are subtracting less energy from the vibrating strings, thus helping the guitar ring longer and at a more musical note. The removal of the tuners locking feature on non-tremolo-equipped guitars further decreases their weight.
