lightly played in 1983 MIJ Takamine F-386 all ply Mahogany - Spruce acoustic 12 string originating from Takamine's famed and much sought after 1970's - early 80's lawsuit era of Martin acoustic guitar copies. This little beauty here being a Martin D18 re-pop. Freshly completed light restoration with some light finish repairs, fresh fret dressing and recent bridge regluing and installation of a 12 string JLD Bridge Doctor kit. Bone nut a saddle and strung up with a fresh set of D'Addario EJ41 10 to 45 gauge strings. When viewing the posted pics one will notice that the guitars spruce top has some discoloration around the neck and soundhole areas,.. this is a result or playwear that has worn the amber tinted finish away to reveal  the woods natural lighter wood tone. These areas have now all been resealed to stop the wear from continuing any farther. No cracks or past structural repairs of any kind. All restoration work was done "In House" by our on site guitar tech and master luthiere Jovan Salacanin. Great playing vintage MIJ guitar that sounds wonderful and is sold without a case or gig bag.

About The JDL Bridge Doctor,....

• Enhances volume
• Flattens 'bellied' soundboards

A unique solution to a common bridge problem, this spruce device attaches beneath a guitar bridge. An adjustable spruce "pressure post" rests against the tail block, providing leverage to flatten the soundboard.

Screw mount: This spruce device attaches beneath the bridge via an inlaid screw (a white pearloid dot is included to hide the bridge screw). An adjustable spruce pressure post rests against the tail block, providing leverage to flatten the soundboard. Better bridge contact and alignment can also enhance sound projection.

Brass pin mount: The pin-mounted version of the JLD Bridge Doctor attaches beneath the bridge using a threaded brass bridge pin. The strings mount horizontally through the tops of the matching brass bridge pins.
