Masterful Audio with PCM 192kHz, DSD 2.8/5.6MHz Recording
For recording, the DA-3000SD supports audio capture at 192 kHz for PCM as well as 2.8 and 5.6 MHz for DSD, the highest quality recording format commercially available. Based on project needs, users can select which recording method best matches the music’s characteristics and save the settings. Multiple units can be synchronized for sample-accurate recording and playback, allowing for the creation of a DSD multitrack recording environment. Recording directly to SD card media makes transportation and storage of sessions simple and easy to handle.

Utilizing High-Quality Audio Circuitry for AD/DA Conversion
An EI core transformer with separate windings for the digital and analog circuits is used in the power supply section, while the output audio circuit has a dual monaural configuration with two high-quality mono circuits to achieve an exceptional sonic profile. Additionally, all stages of the audio circuits have a balanced configuration to reduce noise on both input and output paths. Equipped with a TCXO (temperature compensated crystal oscillator), the DA-3000SD’s clock generator boasts an accuracy of +/- 1ppm for digital audio processing with no jitter.

Wide Range of Input and Output Terminals
The unit is equipped with a diverse selection of input and output terminals for connection to a variety of studio equipment such as audio interfaces, microphone preamplifiers, dynamic processors, and more. Analog I/O ports are provided via XLR and RCA terminals, while PCM digital connectivity is provided through S/PDIF, RCA, coaxial, and AES/EBU connectors. DSD digital connections are handled through the use of BNC SDIF-3 terminals.

As a Portable High-Definition DA Converter
A highly portable piece of gear, the DA-3000SD can fit in a 1U backspace and be toted from studio to studio for detailed and reliable monitoring in any environment. Plus, with its WORD clock capability, the unit can double as a high-precision master clock generator, or sync it to an external clocking device for musically correct pure phase-coherent audio.

As an A/D Converter/Recorder for Mastering
By sending stereo master from a DAW and recording them with the DA-3000SD, you can capture the master sound source at a higher resolution than possible with a DAW bounce alone. To insert vintage or other outboard equipment during the mastering process, place the DA-3000SD in the signal chain after the external hardware to capture the audio coloration in all its full, high-definition beauty.

As a DSD Multitrack Recorder
Both recording and playback synchronization are possible by cascading multiple units, enabling a DSD multitrack environment. By connecting eight DA-3000SD’s, users can record up to 16 tracks at a time.
