Vater Front Ensemble Soft Vibraphone Mallets are made with synthetic yarn for maximum durability and weather resistance while still producing a rounded, full tone on the instrument thanks to their weight and hard rubber cores.
Flexible rattan shafts absorb some of the shock of hitting the aluminum bars while making mallet dampening easier.
The thick wrapping on these mallets make them particularly good for the low end of the instrument, creating pure tones with very little up front attack or glassiness.
