Vintage - USA Made Magnavox era 1973 Ampeg "Blackline" SVT all tube bass amplifier head. Rated 300 watts at 4 ohms and an earth shaking 600 watts at 2 ohms when run with 2x 4 ohm cabinets using the extension speaker output and main speaker output together. Lightly modified with the stand by toggle switch moved from the rear panel and moved to the front of the head. And the fuse housing has been re-positioned to where the stand by switch used to be mounted. Exactly why is anyone's guess,...but the modification was clearly professionally done and completed quite some time ago. None the less,.. it is what it is, and the amp runs like a top and sounds absolutely awesome!! Tubes are are still quite fresh with no "Bad Players" in there...One will also notice that the grill cloth has also been replaced at some point over it lifetime too.
The 1973 Ampeg SVT is a 300-watt, all-tube "Blackline" bass head made by Magnavox USA and features 14 tubes in total,..(six 6550 power tubes, two preamp, four driver/intermediate), two channels (Bright/Normal), and 3-band EQ with mid-frequency selection. Also features "blackline" graphics, black rocker switches, and a 3-prong power cord.
