Vox AC15C1 15-Watt 12” Celestion G12M Greenbacker Guitar Combo Amp

First introduced in 1958, the AC15 combo has been the amp of choice for many guitarists worldwide. Drawing on over 50 years of amp-building expertise, the AC15C1 Custom series offers maximum tonal dexterity.

An Evolution of Tone.
VOX Custom Series amplifiers offer two channels: Normal and Top-Boost. Each channel has its own volume control, and the Top-Boost channel offers highly interactive treble and bass controls. This powerful pair of channels provides an abundance of tonal control, allowing you to craft a classic sound that is uniquely yours.

Both channels rely on the Tone Cut and Volume controls in the Master section. The Tone Cut control operates in the power amp stage rather than the preamp stage, allowing for an extra degree of tone shaping. The Master Volume control works in conjunction with the individual volume controls of each channel to create the right degree of gain adjustment. By balancing the individual and Master Volumes, the Custom Series can deliver everything from a clean, VOX "chime" to a powerful, overdriven sound.

Sound in Motion.
You can soften the sound of your Custom Series amplifier using the effect VOX Classic Tremolo. Speed ​​and depth are adjustable, allowing you to generate the sound you want. A warm spring reverb is also included on all Custom Series amps, adding spaciousness to the sound. All Custom Series amps can use the VOX VFS2 footswitch, allowing you to toggle the reverb and tremolo effects on and off while you play.

Power Sharing:
The AC15C1 combo uses three 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of EL84 tubes to drive a single 12" Celestion Greenback G12M speaker. All Custom Series models offer a switchable 8/16 ohm output jack to power an external speaker when you need to speak with a little more authority; using this jack mutes the internal speakers. Additionally, a second extension jack lets you use an extra 16 ohm speaker with the internal speakers for a richer sound.
