Pre-owned 2009 Washburn J28-SCE- DK Deluxe Jumbo acoustic electric guitar with a cutaway and on board B Band pickup and preamp system. Excellent condition and is complete with its original Washburn deluxe archtop hard shell case. (With a cleverly repaired and well taped up handle.) The guitar does show some very light playwear in a few spots around spruce top, but the back, sides and neck are 100% free of any markings or dings. No cracks or history of past crack repairs, fully restrung, set up, and ready to find a new home!
This version 1 of Washburn's Cumberland Series J28 Jumbos features a Soild Spruce Top, Quitled Maple back and sides, with multi layered laminate cream - black binding. 20 jumbo fret maple neck with a bound rosewood fretboard and a radius of 16". Set of 3&3 gold with black button Grover sealed gear tuners. (18.1 ratio). Also features Washburn's patiented "Buzz Feiten" tuning system as well as Washburns "B-Band A15" deluxe acoustic guitar pickup system. The B-Band A-15 is an active undersaddle piezo pickup and preamp system featured on various Washburn acoustic-electric guitars, such as the George Lynch signature J32SCE and this J28CE model. Manufactured by B-Band, this system is known for using electret film technology in the transducer, which many acoustic players prefer for its natural, woody, and less "quacky" tone compared to the more widely used and more traditional piezo material. The B-Band A15 acoustic preamp feature a side mounted onboard EQ system with bass, mid & treble controls along with an independent top mounted master volume control. Powered by a 9 Volt battery and features both 1/4 inch and XLR outputs.
